Podcast mit Max Thinius
Futurologe Max Thinius wird einer der Keynote-Redner auf unserem buildingSMART International Summit 2025 sein, der vom 22. bis 24. September 2025 in Berlin stattfindet. Dabei wird er über die Zukunft des Bauwesens sprechen – eine Zukunft voller Chancen, wenn wir sie sehen und gemeinsam wahrnehmen wollen – gemäß dem Summit-Motto "openBIM – Better Together".
So sind laut Max Thinius nur 16 Prozent unserer Aussichten eher negativ, hingegen 84 Prozent positiv. Womit sich die Frage stellt: Warum konzentrieren wir uns immer auf die negativen Aspekte. Max Thinius lädt zu einem Perspektivwechsel ein und schlägt vor, Optimismus in den Mittelpunkt unserer Gedanken über die Zukunft zu stellen.
In Bezug auf die Digitalisierung der Bauwirtschaft sieht Max Thinius die Branche mit tiefgreifenden Veränderungen konfrontiert: Künstliche Intelligenz und intelligente Infrastrukturen werden unsere Umgebung unterstützender und interaktiver machen; Gebäude werden nicht mehr nur statische Strukturen aus dem Industriezeitalter sein, sondern intelligente Räume, die Verbindungen fördern, neue Möglichkeiten schaffen und sogar Werte generieren. Dazu sind Daten notwendig. Sind diese nicht vorhanden, verlieren Gebäude ihr Potenzial.

Futurologist Max Thinius will be one of the keynote speakers at our buildingSMART International Summit 2025, which will take place in Berlin from September 22 to 24, 2025. He will talk about the future of construction – a future full of opportunities, if we want to see them and perceive them together – in line with the summit motto “openBIM – Better Together.”
According to Max Thinius, only 16 percent of our prospects are negative, while 84 percent are positive. This raises the question: Why do we always focus on the negative aspects? Max Thinius invites us to change our perspective and suggests putting optimism at the center of our thoughts about the future. With regard to the digitalization of the construction industry, Max Thinius sees the sector facing profound changes: artificial intelligence and intelligent infrastructures will make our environment more supportive and interactive; buildings will no longer be just static structures from the industrial age, but intelligent spaces that promote connections, create new opportunities, and even generate value. This requires data. Without it, buildings lose their potential.
